All enrolments and re-enrolments can be done through our ‘Parent Portal’.
If you are a new family joining Dance Edge for the first time, please call or email us to confirm class suitability and availability. Once we have confirmed your class choice, please proceed to the login screen on our website to set up a new account. From here you may register your child for classes.
Should you have any trouble using the parent portal, we are more than happy to assist. Please contact us during business hours Monday-Thursday on 0499 998 049 or at the studio during class times.
Does my Child Have to Participate in Exams and/or the End of Year Show?
Both dance exams and the End of Year Show are optional for Dance Edge students, but we highly recommend participating as these opportunities are incredibly rewarding and provide performance experiences for our young dancers.
What is Troupe?
The Dance Edge Troupe consists of students who represent the school by performing at community events and competitions throughout the year. Troupe auditions take place in term 4 and if selected, students attend additional classes during the week to practise and prepare for team events throughout the year.
How do I Choose a Style?
It can be difficult to decide which style a dancer will like the best, especially for new dancers. We recommend reading the descriptions of class styles on our website to assist in your decision of dance style. Students are also welcome to trial classes that they may be interested in before officially enrolling in a class.
How Big are the Classes?
We cap our classes at 12-14 students to ensure that our staff are able to focus on each individual student and our dancers feel safe and included while dancing.
Do you Have a Second-Hand Uniform Shop?
Uniform:
Dance Edge has a small selection of second-hand uniform items at the studio for sale, each item is $5 and can be purchased at the front desk.
Shoes:
There is a large supply of second-hand dance shoes at the studio. If students find a pair that fits, they can hold onto them until they are no longer needed, then they can be returned to the box for future students. If you have pre-loved shoes that are still in good condition, these can be handed to the front desk to be added to our collection.
Do I Have to Pay Fees in Full?
Term fees must be paid in full by the end of week 1 of each term. If this is not something that falls within your family budget, we encourage you to reach out to our finance department to arrange a weekly/fortnightly payment plan.
How Much do the Classes Cost?
Pricing is mostly dependent on the length of the class. Please get in touch with us for specific costs for each class type.
